About Gae Aulenti
Gaetana "Gae" Aulenti (Palazzolo dello Stella, December 4th 1927 – Milan, October 21st 2012): one of the greatest contemporary Italian architects and designers, she successfully completed, among the others, the restoration of the Gare d'Orsay in Paris and she set up the homonymous museum. In 1979 she became Fontana Arte's art director, a manufacturer for which she designed many critically acclaimed objects, some of which still in production.
